After a very successful excursion, our yearly symposium is approaching fast.
This year’s topic will be a discussion on how we conduct osteological fieldwork and the
processing of its results. We are excited to announce that it will be held at the
Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden on November 8th at 12:00. The dinner will be
held at restaurant Burgerzaken in Leiden.

ArcheoScienceFest
De NVFA is met een eigen kraam aanwezig op het eerste Grote ArcheoScienceFest. Dit vindt plaats op vrijdag 27 juni 2025 tussen 10:00 en 21:00 in Castellum Hoge Woerd in Utrecht.
Dit kennisfestival heeft het doel om iedereen die actief is in het werkveld van de Nederlandse archeologie de gelegenheid te bieden elkaar te ontmoeten en expertise, data en innovatieve tools te leren kennen en delen. Binnen- en buitenlandse wetenschappers van uiteenlopende subdisciplines zullen de deelnemers in lezingen, workshops en meer informeren over de nieuwste ontwikkelingen. Diverse organisaties waaronder de NVFA presenteren zichzelf op een sciencemarkt.
Ten slotte maken muziek en lekker eten het tot een echt festival. De toegang is gratis, maar aanmelden is verplicht.
